Grocery stores do sometimes have boxes they will give away for free. You can also find free boxes on most local Facebook groups and apps like NextDoor. If you have to buy boxes, buying them in bulk can make purchasing boxes less expensive.
Don’t procrastinate
It can be tempting to procrastinate when it comes to moving. Instead, plan ahead when it comes to your days off. When planning out your move, plan to pack a little even on your workdays. Try to set realistic goals if you plan to plan out.
This is also a great time to clean out and get rid of things. When packing, look for things that you would be to donate, such as unneeded items. You could also sell unnecessary items online or throw them away. I got rid of many items in my closet by trying only to keep things I have worked on in the last six months—anything that I had not worn in the previous six months I plan to give away or donate.
